The Otter A1 and CS7 control and connector have been designed to meet all the market requirements of underfloor Kettle and Jug applications and offers the very latest improvements in terms of dry boil protection, steam switch performance and 360° cordless connection.

The A1 control integrates the 360° cordless plug with element dry boil protection. Two bimetals spring loaded against the element surface make a fast response during dry boil. One bimetal disconnects the live side of the electric circuit and the other disconnects the neutral. A latch out function prevents dry boil cycling. This automatically resets when the kettle or jug is lifted from the cordless base.

Options are available with integrated steam switch function, designed to give a robust on/off action and fast cut-off and reset performance. Alternatively a remote steam control can be connected to the A1, for example, the Otter Z5 mounted at the top of the handle.

The CS7 360° Cordless Socket has retained the advantages of the established CS4 (3mm electrical stroke to cope with kettle production tolerances, patented safety shutter) and incorporates further advantages such as improved aesthetic design.
